"Waiting On" Wednesday / Can't-Wait Wednesday #38: Ash and Quill by Rachel Caine

Can't-Wait Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted at Wishful Endings, to spotlight and discuss the books we're excited about that we have yet to read. Generally they're books that have yet to be released. It's based on Waiting on Wednesday, hosted by the fabulous Jill at Breaking The Spine

Title: Ash and Quill (The Great Library #3)

Author: Rachel Caine
Publisher: Berkley
Expected publication: July 11, 2017
Genres: Fantasy, Young Adult

The unforgettable characters from Ink and Bone and Paper and Fire unite to save the Great Library of Alexandria from itself in this electrifying adventure in the New York Times bestselling series.

Hoarding all the knowledge of the world, the Great Library jealously guards its secrets. But now a group of rebels poses a dangerous threat to its tyranny....

Jess Brightwell and his band of exiles have fled London, only to find themselves imprisoned in Philadelphia, a city led by those who would rather burn books than submit. But Jess and his friends have a bargaining chip: the knowledge to build a machine that will break the Library’s rule.

Their time is running out. To survive, they’ll have to choose to live or die as one, to take the fight to their enemies—and to save the very soul of the Great Library....

  3. I've seen some good ratings for this book, but I haven't read the prior ones in the series. I hope you enjoy this though. Have a great week! New follower by the way!

  4. I am trash. I set book 2 aside, not because it was not good, but because I was not in the mood. I have to get back to it though, because I think this series is up to 4 books now, and I don't want to fall too far behind.

  7. I still really want to read this series so bad! I have the first one I still just haven't read it! I wonder if Ash and Quill is going to be the last one. I hope you love it and this reminds me to move Ink and Bone closer to the top of my TBR pile. Thanks for stopping by Crystal Book Snob

  8. Hallo, Hallo! :)

I originally travelled to this post closer to when it was posted however, I've had a few unique weeks - to where this is the first chance I had to leave you a note! I originally mistook this for another series - thinking I hadn't had the chance to read No1 of the set until I remembered the titles were similar but not the same! Oy!

I recently read The Fortune Teller by Ms Womack - which has it's own spin on the lost library of Alexandria - one which I loved reading about as it was a time slip narrative and it was so hugged & centred into the arc of the historic past but also, the strength of the character's journey - I will have to see if I can borrow the first of this series and find out if it is my cuppa!

I appreciate the nod of mention as sometimes it is hard to always find the books you want to read you never knew were published!

Meanwhile, I've linked to you via my #WaitingOnWednesday No.2

    Happy readings!
