My Review

My True Love Gave to Me: Twelve Holiday Stories is twelve short stories from twelve bestselling young adult authors.  With that many bestselling authors in one book, you would think that this book would be a slam dunk.  It was not.

Midnight by Rainbow Rowell
Rating: 1.5/5 stars
Not a good start to the book.  I have very little desire to read a full story from Rainbow Rowell after reading this short.

The Lady And The Fox
Rating: 1/5 stars
HOW IS THAT A HOLIDAY STORY!

Angels In The Snow by Matt De La Pena
Rating: 1.5/5 stars
The story of a staving college student during winter break.

Polaris Is Where You'll Find Me by Jenny Han
Rating: 3/5 stars
I had such high hope for this story.  I read my first Jenny Han books this year.  So, I was hoping this story would save me.  It started of good but the ending was let then satisfactory.

It's A Yuletide Miracle, Charlie Brown by Stephanie Perkins
Rating: 3.5/5 stars
Not a big fan of Stephanie Perkins after read Anna and the French Kiss (see my review here) but, this was a cute story.

Your Temporary Santa by David Levithan

Rating: n/a
After reading the previous story, I could not get into this one.  Will try again next year.

Krampuslauf by Holly Black
Rating: 0/5 stars
Why?!?!?!!?

What The Hell Have You Done, Sophie Roth? by Gayle Forman

Rating: 5/5 stars
I really like this story, I have only read one book by Gayle Forman, and that was If I Stay. I am curious to read other works by her.

Beer Buckets and Baby Jesus by Myra McEntire

Rating: 5/5 stars
The title caught me off guard but, I really enjoy this one.  It was a cute story. I might have to check out other works from Myra McEntire.

Welcome To Christmas, CA by Kiersten White

Rating: 5/5 stars
Another cute story. I enjoy reading this one also. I might have to check out other works from by Kiersten White.

Star of Bethlehem by Ally Carter

Rating: 5/5 stars
Yet, another story I like. Might have to check out other work by Ally Carter.

The Girl Who Woke The Dreamer by Laini Taylor

Rating: n/a
After reading the previous story, I could not get into this one.  Will try again next year. Maybe!
